Jeong-in Mun

Jeong-in Mun (*1998 in South Korea) is an illustrator and comic artist. She earned her Master’s degree in Illustration from HEAR (Haute école des arts du Rhin - Strasbourg) in 2024. Inspired by the prints of Edvard Munch and the drawings of Edward Gorey, she loves working in black and white using nibs and ink. Her work frequently explores questions of identity and belonging. Since 2020, she has been the founder and editor of the fanzine FRED, which features comics created as cadavres exquis in every issue. In 2023, her first picture book, This Way, That Way, was selected as one of the winners of the Bologna Children's Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition. Her debut graphic novel, Long Breath, was published in 2026 by Rotopol (Germany) and Cambourakis (France). She is currently preparing her second graphic novel.
